Thank you for taking the time to learn about Desert Tails Pet Services! I founded this business in 2019 with the simple goal of providing safe and loving care for animals while their owners are away. As a pet owner myself, I understand how important it is to entrust your furry family members with someone you can trust.
At Desert Tails, we hold ourselves to a high standard of care, and our team of pet sitters and dog walkers are hand-selected, background-checked, and fully committed to providing the best care possible. We consider every pet in our care to be a part of our pack, and we take that responsibility very seriously.
Originally from the northeast, I relocated to enjoy the beautiful sunshine here in the Southwest. When I'm not caring for my clients' pets, I enjoy spending time with my 3 rescue dogs Moose, Lilly and Frankie. I also love walking, golfing, hiking and lifting weights! I'm certified in pet first aid and CPR, a member of Professional United Pet Sitters, LLC, and fully insured and bonded through Pet Care Insurance.

Hi there! I'm an animal lover of all types, from zero to 8 legs, they are all adorable to me. In addition to working for Desert Tails, I also work as an Pet Tech at a local animal hospital. In my past life I was a department animal curator for several years. I've also enjoyed volunteering for our local animal shelter, Cave Creek Awareness park and the Arizona Game and Fish Department. All avenues have indulged me in learning about animal behavior and how to best serve and protect them. As a pet owner myself, I know how they should be cared for and I extend that same level of care, compassion, and empathy to my pet clients while in my care.
In my spare time I enjoy gardening and learning all about the desert’s flowers & plants and how to keep them alive in this dry heat. I look forward to meeting and caring for your beloved companion(s).

I have been surrounded by animal friends since I was a child. I was raised in Texas and later lived in Oregon, Arizona, and Hawaii. No matter where life has taken me, I have always found a way to be a loving and compassionate advocate for animals.
Over the years, I have adopted three dogs of my own, all of whom lived to be at least 17 years old. I have also cared for friends’ pets, worked professionally as a pet sitter, volunteered with local animal rescues and shelters, rescued stray animals, and even helped care for 37 horses at a barn.
After retiring from the County of Maui, I moved back to Arizona to be closer to friends and family. Since returning, I have volunteered with Foothills Animal Rescue and worked at a local pet resort and dog grooming salon. I am now thrilled to be part of the Desert Tails Pet Services team!
I also bring more than 30 years of experience in therapeutic massage and hands-on healing, which allows me to offer additional comfort, care, and support to both animals and the people who love them.

I love working part time for Lisa and Desert Tails! I've co-owned and managed a non-profit rescue organization for many years in my prior life. I have extensive experience working with many different types of dogs. I like to think I have a special bond with all the animals I come in contact with. I'm passionate about the dogs well being and always makes sure they're enjoying the adventure! The best part of the job is helping animals when their owners are away or busy. It gives me a great deal of satisfaction knowing they're safe and happy in my care.
